After the adventure of a safari, there’s nothing better than relaxing in paradise. This is a tour to the best of the Northern Parks of Tanzania and the fine white sand of Zanzibar. This is a very special tour for families on holiday as well as for couples on a honeymoon who want to experience safaris to the Northern parks of Tanzania before flying to the beautiful spice island of Zanzibar for beach leisure and relaxation after days of adventures with Furaha Tours and Safaris.
Our tour will start with Tarangire national park which is well known as (Elephants Paradise), then after you proceed to Lake Manyara national park (Home of trees climbing lions) and visiting Ngorongoro Crater which is considered one of the natural wonders of the World we conclude our adventure with Serengeti National park which is the home of the Great Migration and may very well be one of the last true natural wonders on planet earth.
After breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drive with a packed lunch box. Ranking as the 6th largest National Park in Tanzania, and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers.
The Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season, which sees about 250,000 animals enter the park. After an extensive game drive, head to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the Tarangire river & Acacia woodlands plains while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.
After breakfast at the lodge, we drive with a picnic lunchbox to Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers 330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the lake. The varied ecosystem consists of groundwater forests, acacia woodland, and open grassland along the lake shore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including pink flamingoes, baboons, elephants, Giraffes, and buffalo.
The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the rift valley. Late afternoon proceeds to the lodge for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the valley while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.
After early breakfast at the logde, we depart for a morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch Humper, as very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and various species of birds.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. After lunch in the Ngorongoro crater, we drive to the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
After Breakfast, we go for a full-day game drive with our lunch Hamper. Chances are that you have dreamt of Africa, and when you did, you probably dreamt about the Serengeti. Countless wildlife movies have been recorded in the Serengeti, and with good reason: this is the home of the Great Migration and may very well be one of the last true natural wonders on planet Earth.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences, and this day will be organised according to your wishes. Every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time.
For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch, during the evening drive to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the Serengeti plains while recounting tales of the day adventure.
After breakfast, enjoy your morning game drive on the way to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by your guide and then transferred to the hotel in Stone Town for dinner and overnight.
After your breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you to Stone Town for a tour & spice tour in the afternoon, and he will drive you to Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort (Nungwi)
This is a walking tour that takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the former slave market for the East African Slave trade, and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. The architectural style of Stone Town buildings is a unique mixture of various influences and cultures. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals, and countless mosques!
Stone Town has some excellent gift shops with plenty of souvenirs and handicrafts to choose from. A guided walk through this colourful and alternating city with knowledgeable tour guides, who know not only the fun of Stone town, but also the cruel stories to tell about the life of the old times in Stone town. Stone town tour is a walking tour and takes almost 3 hrs. of walking in the narrow streets.
We have developed a special Spice Tour with in-depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and detailed descriptions about their uses in traditional dishes, as cures for ailments, and even for dyeing traditional ceremonial outfits for weddings and festivals. After the activities, drive to your Beach resort.
After breakfast at the hotel, you may go to the beach for relaxation, Walking Around the Beach, or an option for a Snorkeling tour in Mnemba Atoll Marine Reserve.
After breakfast at the Hotel, you may go to the beach for relaxation or an option for the Johozani Forest tour. This forest is one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the world for the red colobus monkey.
The forest is 2,512 hectares (6,207 acres) in size and was declared a nature reserve in the 1960s. A walk through this impressive flora and fauna is one of the highlights Zanzibar has to offer. At Jozani, you will also visit the Mangrove swamp and walk around the Mangrove forest.
After breakfast at the Hotel, you may go to the beach for relaxation or an option for the Prison Island Boat trip. Earning its name as a former prison for slaves and a quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland, nowadays the island gives you the chance to escape for some peace.
The island lies just off the Old Stone Town, and it is also home to giant land tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the late 19th century. Now it is more commonly known as a home of Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabra Tortoise colony, some of which are over a hundred years old! This endangered species came to Zanzibar as a gift from the government of the Seychelles.
Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises. If you have time, you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior, where you will see a wide variety of birds, colourful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep your eyes peeled too for the shy and elusive Duikers, an unusual, tiny antelope species.
After breakfast at the hotel, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

Cost $80 and felt this was the only trip not worth the money. We did Victoria falls (both sides), elephant encounter, sunset cruise and Botswana safari - all drivers and tour guides were friendly and helpful lemOctober 6, 2024Verified Amazing Kilimanjaro It was an amazing trip, excellent guides, great food and all aspects of comfort and safety were taken care off. Phil and Mathew are simply amazing. Ravi ASeptember 5, 2024Verified Great safari experince My wife and I used Furaha Tours & Safaris, based in Arusha, as a tour operator for our Tanzanian safari in Aug. 2024, our first trip ever to Tanzania and Africa actually. We had lots of questions and weren’t sure what to expect. Phil, the owner of Furaha, was always available to answer them for us. He was patient, prompt, customer focused and precise in his responses. He was very flexible in customizing our itinerary based on our needs. He ensured that we had the most pleasant experience from the moment we landed in Arusha to the time of our departure. We highly recommend Furaha Tours & Safaris as a tour company for a safari expedition in Tanzania. Our guide during the safari was Rajab. Getting a great tour guide is a vital component of the safari experience as you would be spending the next 5-7 days or more depending on your itinerary with your guide. Rajab is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge in wildlife, a safe driver and has a great eye for spotting wildlife in the bushes of Serengeti or the grasses of the Ngorongoro crater. He is passionate about his job, has an immense sense of pride to be a Tanzanian, and a great off-road driver on the challenging terrain you will encounter. On our trip, we visited Northen Serengeti with the hope to witness the Mara River crossing of the wildebeest during their Great Migration. Watching a river crossing requires luck, great driving skill and an intuition to predict where a migration is likely to occur. Rajab brought the latter two to the table and with an element of luck, gave us a once in a lifetime experience of witnessing 3 crossings in a matter of a couple of hours, not to mention, with the best spot in the house. On our trip back to the airport, we came across a roadblock to the airport due to the passing of the Tanzanian President’s motorcade who was visiting Arusha for a conference. We were not sure if we would make it to the airport in time and were quite nervous. Rajab worked with a couple of other safari drivers and coordinated a plan to do some off-road driving in the city to get us close enough to the airport to be able to make it on time when the motorcade eventually passed. Due to his actions, we not only made it on time to the airport, but instead, we had some time to freshen up for our long journey back home. We very highly recommend Rajab as he is an exceptional individual and tour guide. SunnySeptember 2, 2024Verified Wonderful 6-Days Safari I highly recommend this Safari tour and Furaha company. Our journey was perfect, with the Big Five and the beautiful Tanzania in our sight.Phil is a super warm and caring friend. From the very beginning of the planning stage, he patiently answered every question I had and helped us perfect every detail. After arriving in Tanzania, one of my friends had a problem with his luggage. Phil helped us contact the airport and arranged for the luggage to be shipped to near Serengeti by a small plane during the trip. Our guide Rajab is super energetic and professional. He kept the car very clean and provided us with delicious food and perfect explanations. He is also a patriot who has his own insights and pride in Tanzania's national development.I will definitely come back to Tanzania, this beautiful land, to meet beautiful people and nature again. Zihao ShengJuly 17, 2024Verified Furaha Trips gave us a great experience. It was a very happy few days travelling with Furaha Trips, we had a lot of good memories and the guide was a very, very nice person, very responsible, took care of us, he was very nice to us and we saw all the animals we wanted to see. Thank you most for the delay in my luggage, but the Trips boss and director were always helping me get in touch with my luggage and it ended up being shipped to the grasslands for free, so it was a lucky adventure! Very Recommended Furaha and the director told us that Furaha means Happy and we were really happy. 泽茜 孙July 17, 2024Verified One of the best experiences of my life - 7 days of climbing the Lemosho route at Kilimanjaro Just got down from the mountain, and it has been one of the absolutely best experiences of my life. But also one of the toughest. Before leaving the hotel, the guide checked all of my gear. I needed more warm clothes, which we then rented on the way. Really nice that they help you make sure you have all the gear you need. The equipment Furaha brought was good quality. Almost new tent, warm sleeping back, soft mattress and pillow and so on. Allways put up and ready when arriving to a next basecamp. Also always a hot cup of tea, and warm water to wash-up after a long day hike. The food was really great, and especially when thinking of it made on one stove. Fresh vegetables and fruit, pasta, local dishes etc. And always asking if any specific request.During the 7 days I felt 100% safe, and during the hikes I really enjoyed the company of the guide. Telling me about the nature and wildlife of Kili, how to breath the right way for better performance (really needed for last hike to the top during night), local culture and so.The hole team worked together to give me the best possible 7 days. And they really succeeded.I can only recommend traveling with Furaha. Right from choosing the route at Kili 6 month before leaving to sitting at the hotel (that they have booked) 7 days later. Ken MJune 25, 2024Verified Serengeti Ngorongoro Lake Manyara Alais, thank you for your good work.
