DAY 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drive with a packed lunch box. Ranking as the 6th largest National Park in Tanzania, and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers.

The Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season, which sees about 250,000 animals enter the park. After an extensive game drive, head to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the Tarangire river & Acacia woodlands plains while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

DAY 2

Tarangire National Park Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a full day game drive with a packed lunch hamper. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The river of the park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, elephants.

The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views of the river and wildlife (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). Late Afternoon drive back to the lodge for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the Tarangire river & Acacia woodlands plains while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the rift valley. Late afternoon proceeds to the lodge for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the valley while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

Join them on a hunt and learn some of their skills. At Lake Eyasi, you have the unique opportunity to meet the Hadzabe tribe.

It is one of the few tribes in the world that still live as hunters and yuhkocozr, and you can even accompany the men on the hunt! See how they hunt and kill their prey up close! You will learn about how people used to live and the skills required to survive. In the afternoon, drive back to the lodge for the hot lunch, after lunch, get some rest since you worked up early, then you will have an option to visit Gibbs farm coffee plantation and learn how coffee is processed, or an evening walk to the Elephants’ caves.
