Trip Overview

Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Mto wa Mbu

7 Days Safari

This is a very special tour that allows you to concentrate most of your time in the Serengeti to focus on following the Great Serengeti migration during calving season from December to April, around Lake Ndutu Area, Southern and Central areas of the Serengeti National Park to witness thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains grazing on the rich short grass plains. With the largest concentration of big cats such as Lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas, wild dogs, and Leopards.

We have designed this particular tour so that you can start with Tarangire national park which is well known as Elephants Paradise, then after you proceed to Lake Manyara national park Home of trees climbing lions and visiting Ngorongoro Crater which is considered one of the natural wonders of the World, we end up the Tour with Mto wa mbu culture tour.

DAY 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drive with a packed lunch box. Ranking as the 6th largest National Park in Tanzania, and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers.

The Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season, which sees about 250,000 animals enter the park. After an extensive game drive, head to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the Tarangire river & Acacia woodlands plains while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

DAY 2

Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, we drive with a picnic lunchbox to Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers 330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the lake. The varied ecosystem consists of groundwater forests, acacia woodland, and open grassland along the lake shore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including pink flamingoes, baboons, elephants, Giraffes, and buffalo.

The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the rift valley. Late afternoon proceeds to the lodge for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the valley while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

DAY 3

Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti (Ndutu Area)

After breakfast at the lodge, we will drive to the Ndutu area, which is in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Lake Ndutu, like most other rift lakes, is alkaline; however, the water is still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife.

We will spend the afternoon with a game drive in the Ndutu area. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains of Ndutu from December to April. And the woodland acacia forest area is usually heavily populated with Giraffes, elephants, tree-climbing lions, and other resident animals. Late afternoon proceeds to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the lake Ndutu while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

DAY 4

Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in the Ndutu area exploring a great range of various habitats such as swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains. You will witness herds of wildebeest and zebras, especially during a short time frame from around February to March, where the majority of the wildebeest calve.

The short grass plains of the Ndutu area provide little cover, and the young make an easy prey for a variety of predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born, and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herds. Late afternoon proceeds to the camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the lake Ndutu while recounting tales of the day’s adventure.

DAY 5

Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Join us on a safari and explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom; gaze upon the Great Migration in awe, or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest.
